To all of the people who helped me raise more than $1,500.00 for AIDS Project Los Angeles…Thank you for your support in marking my Marathon Trifecta (as I am affectionately calling it.) San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Vegas. Not bad.
I completed the marathon in a little over five hours literally running into my family. A special thank you to them for spending the weekend with me in the freezing Las Vegas cold. And a little love to my sister-- for going to sleep at 9PM on a Saturday night in Vegas. A struggle I’m sure…
There is nothing more bizarre than walking through a Vegas casino at 4:30AM on the way to run a marathon, while everyone around you is still partying from the night before. The dichotomy was unreal, and fantastic.
Oh, and to top it all off… on my first spin I won $1,000.00 on a 25 cent slot machine with a five dollar bill. Guess I’m good luck...
